Our Mission
Because of Ellis Ann we are working hard to raise funding for Children's Cardiomyopathy research, provide resources to grieving families, and provide tools for promoting safe sleep.
To-date we have,
RAISED: over $60,000 for Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation
DONATED: Over 100 Owlet Smart Socks for individuals and Ellis Ann's Light stations, are launching a Hypertension Clinic with the Dothan Sub Speciality Clinic, and launching a Lecture Series educating physicians on misdiagnosis of cardiomyopathy.
SUPPORTED: 40 grieving families who have experienced infant loss with "Smile Boxes" at hospitals across Alabama.

Our Story
Ellis Ann Cosby was born May 15, 2016 and appeared perfectly healthy.
She was always happy and smiled for any and everyone she met. In mid October 2016, Ellis began to not feed as well. Her feedings decreased by more than half her normal amount. On October 25, 2016 she was taken to her pediatrician, where she had no fever and was all smiles. She was diagnosed with an ear infection and we began amoxicillin that day. Ellis started eating more as the days went on. A week after her doctor's appointment, Ellis took a tragic turn. She had stopped breathing and was immediately rushed to the local hospital. There were times the doctors seemed hopeful, until they discovered her heart had enlarged by three times the normal size for a six month old. Ellis passed away shortly after being admitted to the hospital that day on November 1, 2016. Our family has been devastated and blindsided ever since that day. We had never heard of cardiomyopathy, especially in infants, so it is now our mission to make other parents aware of this horrible disease that unfortunately does not have many symptoms. Our goal is to provide more funding for research in children's cardiomyopathy.

Ways to support the EAC Foundation
In efforts to provide funding for research, Ellis Ann's Light Owlet stations in daycares, and resources for grieving families we need your help.
Through tax deductible donations we are able to use Ellis Ann's legacy to help other families.
If you would like to make a donation, please consider the following
amounts and how they make an impact.
$10 : Provides grief resources for families that have experienced infant loss.
$20 : Surge protector and hardware for Ellis Ann's Light Owlet Smart Sock station.
$50 : Box setup for an Ellis Ann's Light station.
$100 : Funds research at the Children's Cardiomyopothy Foundation
$300 : Purchases an Owlet Smart Sock for a family in need.
$900 : Provides 6 Owlet Smart Socks for a local daycare through the Owlet matching program.
We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All donations will be tax deductible. Donations will go to the EAC Foundation which provides funds for Children's Cardiomyopathy, support grieving parents, and provide Owlet monitors for those expectant mothers and daycares.
A pink balloon and a colorful butterfly, they lend us a smile when we all want to cry.
The swing that blows with the wind, a reminder that our hearts are slowly on the mend.
Tree tops and blue skies look different now, we know Ellis Ann is up there dancing and taking a bow.
The days are long and the months seem too fast, counting down the time until we are together at last.
Sweet coos and giggles our ears still hear, letting us know she is always near.
Her smile melted us to the core, wishing we could have seen it once more.
Dark nights and the glowing moon, remembering her cries as more of a sweet tune.
The hole in our hearts will forever remain, but we rejoice knowing God called her name.
Friends and family send love from all around, as our sweet Ellis Ann was heaven bound.
